While I've got a follow-up to my first !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in development, I thought I'd share a fantastic explanation of fuel octane rating and its effect on engine performance that I stumbled upon the other day. Part 2 is as good as part 1.

To be fair, I'm all about simplification. Not saying that what he says is incorrect, just that he's getting all "James May" with the explanation if it's taking that long. Octane is not a very complex subject IMO.

I'm with you. I'm pretty sure I've already got a good handle on it. No need for 14 minutes of video to explain something that could probably be sufficiently explained to non-chemists in about 3.5
